Happy Thanksgiving! Yesterday, at least. Oh well. Due to busy-ness of the season, I’m just doing a quickie here. Then it’s on to December, which means Christmas games. So yeah, last “regularish” LGR video of the year!

Vintage Computer Pickups video is online – Sound & Video Cards, MSX2

Due to effects “suffered” from playing almost 80 hours of Skyrim in the past week, my video creation time has dwindled to darned low levels. This is okay by me, because seriously, Skyrim is so freaking good that I don’t mind.

Anyways, this is a pickups/haul video of sorts. Some seriously radical stuff has been sent to me recently and these are the highlights I’m covering in this video. Sound cards, video cards, other cards, an MSX2, games, magazines, etc. Just fantastic vintage gaming loot that I’m extremely grateful for! I’ll be showing more of this stuff on LGR in the future, but for now this is just kind of a “thank you” to the guys who sent this stuff and a proclamation that this stuff exists.

LGR Online Game Shop – Buy Cheaper Games, Support LGR

LGR Online Game Shop - GameFanShop

There is now an online storefront where you can buy new games and help support LGR!

Courtesy of Game Fan Shop, I now have this neat little partnership that allows you to buy games at a discounted price, and I’ll get a small commission. It’s pretty freaking simple: the games are digital downloads, and are exactly the same as you get from services like Steam or Origin. Buy the product, get a code. Except, instead of buying through other services, you buy from this site at a lower price and I’ll also get a cut. So you can support my efforts with Lazy Game Reviews by buying the games you’d already planned on getting! Yeah, it’s a middleman service, but it’s for a “good cause”, hehe.

They also have some nice policies, like guaranteeing to replace your code in case it gets lost or screwed up. They also have things like Xbox Live Gold memberships and points cards for iTunes and PSN and whatever, so it’s not just games. And soon there will be some console games to choose from, so it should only get better as time goes on. And yes, international buyers can use the site through a variety of payment methods.

Hooray for capitalism and stuff. I think this is pretty neat, so seriously, if you’ve been planning on grabbing games like Minecraft, Battlefield 3, Skyrim, Modern Warfare 3, Arkham City or whatever, why not get a good deal and send a small token of appreciation my way in the process 😀

I’ve been wanting to cover this one for a while now, just never got around to it. But since I’m working on my Elder Scrolls: Arena review leading up to the release of Skyrim, I didn’t really have anything else lined up for this weekend. So yeah, cranked this quickie review out in a couple hours and crossed another requested game off the list!
